ABOUT THE PROJECT
The goal of ”Youth on a Mission” is to support the activity of the Ukrainian Educational Hub, by involving ESC volunteers in offering extracurricular and non-formal based opportunities, bringing together the Ukrainian kids and teens with Romanian youth, and developing competencies in a safe and comfortable space.
The project is not only supporting the Ukrainian kids and teens in UkrKidsHub, but also their parents and the whole community within which the activities are planned to be carried out. “Youth on a mission” addresses the needs of the target group, particularly young Ukrainians, by providing them with essential services, educational support, and a sense of belonging in the community, indirectly supporting the activity of the Ukrainian educational hub.
It will mainly address the challenges of cultural differences and the language barriers that the Ukrainians are facing in their integration process.
MAIN OBJECTIVES
- Inspiring and connecting young people from different backgrounds, helping them to understand each other better;
- Giving young people the chance to learn new skills across a range of topics;
- Supporting youth to get involved in international projects and make their voices heard;
- Making it easier for young people, especially those who don ’t always get the same opportunities, to join in and become active citizens;
- Building stronger communities over time, promoting tolerance and respect for differences;
- Boosting diversity, cultural awareness, and social unity.
